I wield librarian glasses by day and devour pop culture by night. I have to say, my little slice of Cleveland life is delicious.

Prince Stumpy Derpenshire is my corgi name. Perfect.

Captain Peanut Frapenstein here.

Lady Waffles McDrummies.

Duke Bubba McGillicuty. Sherlock says its pretentious.

Doctor Squiggly Bunnybottom.

Doctor Peanut Fritofeets <- this is actually 100% accurate, that would be my name, if I were a corgi. FOR SERIOUS. Well, maybe it would be Potatofeets, but damn it, it’s close!!!

Corgi owners and aficionados. WHAT THE HELL? YOU ARE SO SILLY!

ONE DAY A WEEK LEAVE YOUR HOME WITHOUT A CELLPHONE

Yes.

The Easter Bunny looked a little different this year. (Taken with instagram)

It’s almost Easter! These are the beautiful eggs we colored last night. The way we color them is an old German tradition passed down from my maternal grandma’s family. It just wouldn’t be the same if we didn’t do this every year.

HILARIOUS CHRISTI.  Thanks.  Image from http://www.thehunkies.com/

Thank you, Ryan.

So I’ve never been really big on New Year’s resolutions. I always feel like everyone is just setting themselves up for failure: “I want to lose 30 lbs by next week.”, “I’m going to quit smoking cold turkey tomorrow.” etc. And then it seems that some enjoy flaunting how quickly they fall off the resolution bandwagon: “Girls night this weekend! So much for my no drunken stupors resolution! HOLLA!” I’m not judging, really I’m not, but what’s the point? Is it that whole “rules were meant for breaking thing”? If so, that’s kind of silly because they’re your own rules.

I think if you’re going to have a resolution/resolutions they need to be a little more realistic. Here’s a few goals I’ve set for myself in 2012:

1. Worry less.

2. Read more.

3. Channel patience and peace more frequently.

Do I think that I’m infallible, of course not. I just know that these are things that I can focus and work on a little bit at a time and hopefully feel healthier and happier for it.

Happy New Year!

Three of my favorite things: Christmas, Drunk History, and Ryan Gosling.

*warning* The drunk narrator curses like a drunk narrator.

May your days be merry and bright and may all your Christmases be white.
“White Christmas” music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, as sung by Bing Crosby.

I know, I know! It’s December, so why am I posting a pic of Jazzy the Diva Dog in a Halloween costume? Well, 1. My laziness caused me to miss posting about one of my favorite holidays and 2. She’s darned cute! Who cares what month it is? And 3. We have yet to purchase her the obligatory Santa hat for pets.

Ryan sure is busy heying lots of girls, but of course he had to show some love to us librarian ladies.
